Abstract:
Shanxi Province is a large province of coalbed methane resources. After years of exploration and development, obvious progress has been made in coalbed methane exploration and development, and the commercial development of coalbed methane has been initially realized. Under the guidance of the carbon peak and carbon neutrality goal, for the exploration and development of coalbed methane such as deep coal seam, medium-shallow coal seam, coal mine area and coal measure gas co-exploration and co-production, due to the limited understanding of key geological and engineering technical parameters such as coalbed methane occurrence characteristics, gas-bearing mechanism and fracturing response, the release of coalbed methane production capacity in some blocks is restricted. This paper summarizes the current situation of coalbed methane exploration and development in Shanxi Province, reviews the new progress of coalbed methane exploration and development technology in Shanxi Province in recent years from three dimensions of deep coalbed methane, middle and shallow coalbed methane and coal measure gas co-exploration and co-production, and summarizes the technological breakthroughs in the exploration and development process of coalbed methane industry in Shanxi Province, such as geology, drilling, fracturing and drainage. In order to support the continuous increase of reserves and production of coalbed methane industry in Shanxi Province, the countermeasures and suggestions for the development of coalbed methane industry technology are put forward: first, to strengthen the basic geological theory research of coalbed methane; the second is to increase the coalbed methane exploration and development engineering technology research; the third is to speed up the three-dimensional development of coal measure gas co-exploration and co-production.
