High-prestress and high-working-resistance support technology for deep soft rock roadways
-
Abstract
Large deformation, support failure, and high repair rates are major engineering challenges in deep soft rock roadways. Taking the mining roadway of the W3102 longwall face in Xiaokang Coal Mine, Tiefa Coal Industry (Group) Co., Ltd., at a depth of approximately 800 m as the engineering background, the instability mechanism of the surrounding rock and the causes of failure of the original support system were analyzed. Based on stress compensation theory, a coupled support system combining high prestress and high working resistance was developed, and its effectiveness was verified through numerical simulation and field application. By increasing the pretension force of anchor cables and introducing high-working-resistance portal supports, a coordinated support system combining high prestress and high working resistance was formed. The results show that the total deformation of the surrounding rock was reduced by approximately 60%, and the roadway remained stable throughout the mining period without repair.
